Our Way

Fair and organic cotton
We source from companies with robust ethical and environmental standards. Our supplier's manufacturing facilities have been audited for social compliance and have an active monitoring programme in accordance with standards advocated by the International Labour Organisation, The Ethical Trading Initiative and other international bodies. Our T-shirts are ethically made, certified organic by the Soil Association and manufactured solely using sustainable energy generated from wind power.

Clever inks
We use water based inks. These do not contain PVC or phthalates and are much more environmentally friendly that the alternatives. Permaset Aqua ink does not contain any toxic chemicals at all. It is formulated free from Lead and other heavy metals and passes the Oekotex Class 1 standard with 60% to spare! Our printers have eliminated all solvents from thier printing process and only use biodegradable drain safe products in their screen reclaiming process.

Banking
We bank with Coop to ensure as best we that are finance are handled in keeping with our values. Therefore ensuring that our money does not fund state organisations in countries where there is a high degree of concern about a lack of human rights, or businesses with unethical practises.

Packaging
Orders are dispatched in biodegradable packaging which can be recycled or disposed with normal household waste where it will naturally degrade down to water, a small amount of carbon dioxide and biomass which can be composted and used as a fertilizer. Which we think is real neat.

Less Paper
We run a paperless office, communication, invoicing and paperwork is all done digitally wherever possible. If we do need to use paper, we make sure it's recycle after use and our business stationary, packaging and point of sale is all printed on recycled paper using water-based or vegetable inks inks by environmentally responsible and ethically sound printer.

Reality Check!
In terms of our environmental and ethical aims. We realises that it's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. As a small independent company we're realistic about what we can achieve. We do as much research and checking of our own. It is only a small amount but as our company grows we will be able do more. Sometimes, we need to rely on information supplied to us. So we follow the best information and certification we can find and we spend our money with other companies who share our philosophy wherever possible. Where there's room for improvement we try our best to do so.

After all a step in the right direction is still a step in the right direction?
